We looked at a variety of portable AC units for our summer use. The LG was the easiest to use and set up great features and was the least noisy. It quickly cools down the room and helps with the humidity. Love the features too

This unit is great Cools down a couple rooms perfectly. The only major complaint is that I had to take some extra steps to get it secure in my casement window I hate casement windows. But this is a great AC unit.

My apartment has no ac and is west facing. It got very the previous summer so I knew I needed something more than just a fan for this summer. Fairly easy to set up and run vent out the window. It looks good and I like that it can function as a fan when full ac isnt needed. Really great to be able to link to my phone and turn unit on before leaving work to have apartment cool when I get home.

I bought this for my bedroom as it get extremely hot during the summer months. My bedroom is in the attic so the extra AC is crucial. This product made an instant impact to the roughly 300 sq ft space. Whats more its very sleek and has great modern features such as automatic timer and smart home connectivity.

If I knew this would be such a valuable product I while have bought the best option as well but it was out of stock at the time: but overall got product

I resisted buying a portable AC since they are an eye sore. Was forced to buy one during an insane heat wave in LA. I wanted a different model but this is all that was left since all of LA was sold out of portable ACs. I was pleasantly surprised with the easy installation and it was a bonus that the design is sleek as well.

Have had our LG portable A/C unit for 2 weeks now and it has worked great. Bought it as a standby for when the power goes out at the house in South Louisiana due to tropical storms and hurricanes. But have been using it to cool rooms on my second floor while awaiting repairs to my central HVAC system. So far very satisfied with performance.

I purchase a portable 8000 btu portable ac unit. Used it 3 months out away for winter. Tried to use this year and the compressor was out. Warranty was for a year it died 1 month later and they offered me a discount on a new unit. Ummmm no thanks why would I buy the same crap?

I bought the LG Portable Air Conditioner in July 2022. The AC unit is a very attractive black color and it wasnt difficult to install. The hose that fits through the window is about 5 inches in diameter.
We set up the AC unit in our den and faced it toward the kitchen. It adequately cooled the den and some of the kitchen. However the unit did not appear to remove most of the humidity from the room and the room always felt like it was humid even though the temperature was set to 73 degrees.
In all the unit cooled the room on some of the hottest days of the summer and that was a big plus.

We went to buy a room A/C and because of the quality associated with the LG name we decided on the LG 8000BTU room air conditioner. The A/C took just a short time to install and works wonderfully. Weve been very happy and the guests who use that very warm upstairs bedroom have loved it as well.

This unit provides plenty of power but you need a roll of masking tape to connect the hose to the outside. It just doesnt fit without a lot of tape. Poor quality or craftmanship.

I bought this unit in Oct 2021. It seemed to do alright during the warm months of the winter and spring. When summer hit and temps rose it fell flat on its face. No cooling at all. LG service tech said Its not working. LG will replace it. And then he left. That was a month ago...still waiting.

I bought this LG0821GSSM exactly 363 days ago and the top control panel went out. At first I thought there was no way LG was going to believe that it went out two days before the warranty expired. It was originally purchased on 7/16/21 because I needed a dehumidifier in my garage when my water heater went out and after getting a quick repair I couldve taken it back. I had plans to change all the windows in the house but it was going to be six months later so the unit actually stayed in the box until February of 2022. After the window work was complete my daughter wanted to as an additional AC in her room. We took it out installed it per directions and she loved it. It stayed 60 in her room 24/7. When I explained that the top control panel had lights going haywire and the only way to control it was with the remote. LG said it was possible that I would have to pay for the repair so I had them send the technician out and he was very knowledgeable and saw that condensation from the swing blades caused it to short out he ordered the part and came back two days later as promised and replaced it. I think LG had every reason in the world not to cover it but they stood behind their product and took care of my daughters favorite AC.

Im 63 years old and I live in a mobile home. I have window air conditioners but every year I have to depend on someone to put them in the window make sure that the area around it is sealed to keep the hot air out and then come back in the fall to take it back out. They are to heavy for me to take care of myself and often its mid summer before someone comes to put them in. This air conditioner is heavy also but it is on wheels so I can easily install it in the window myself. When I bought it there was everything in the box I needed to set it up including the piece that you install in your window. Very simple to install. Mine is also a portable heater so I dont have to take it out and store it. It easy to point in different directions and cools just as well if not better than my window Air conditioners. I really like it. Theres only one issue I have. It is a good size so it does take up some floor space. I believe it comes in two colors black and white. I have a black one so it really blends in with my furnishings. I would recommend this unit to anyone but especially to someone like myself that lives alone and has to depend on other people to do these sort of things. I will be purchasing another one next year and taking my large window unit out. It is a great product and I am very pleased with it.

Bought the LG 8000 BTU in April 2022. It a good a/c but the bucket of water gets full between 7-8 hours and unit has to be shut off to dump the water. Its ok except that the a/c needs to be turned on 1 to 2 hours before we get home in order for the room to be cool by the time we arrive texas weather runs over 102.

We bought two units. One works fine. The other has to have a hose to drain water. Theres no access to a drain or sink. We have a 5 gallon bucket to collect the dehumidifier water. It fills 4 or 5 times a day. Five gallons of water is very heavy I read several reviews and found this to be a problem for other buyers as well. Apparently LG is not helpful according to one reviewer.

I bought this AC to keep a little building I keep my parrots in. I heard good things and liked the wifi option so I bought it. Keep in mind Ive given this thing a chance for over a year. It failed miserably at cooling the building I even bought onw with a higher BTU so it would work better. It could never properly cool the building and after a while it started leaking water everywhere....over 5 gallons a day because it was struggling constantly. I cleaned it I took care of it and it just could never keep up. My building had blinds and curtains and I did everything to help this little machine out and then finally this year the compressor gave out. I replaced it with a spare crappy little Hisense I had in my garage so my birds wouldnt die in this heat and that little dumpy machine WAAAAAAAYYY outperforms thus LG machine. Dont buy it it is not good at its only job.

This is a great unit and cools down efficiently. I had bought one for my moms house and after being impressed with how well it worked I purchased a second for my house. Only complaint is that the LCD screen is a bright green which I really dont like and its pretty annoying at night because of the brightness. But overall Im pretty happy LG makes great products

I have a building that is 14 by 20 and I choose a cooler that was for a larger area. I had no problem installing the unit BUT it not only could not cool the 280 sq. ft. of area but it could not even hold the temperature as it was when that temp was less than the exterior temp.
The noise varies with power up one time it sounds like an airliner on takeoff and another time it is a pleasant sound of a fan moving air. Both times started on high.
I do not recommend this unit but if you must buy one go for a larger one than they say you need because it wont cool for you.

So far so good on the portable a/c. Only part I did not like is the box appeared to be damaged on arrival. The air conditioner itself is fine. It just did not look good. Otherwise works just fine and keeps the room cool for sleeping.

I bought this unit and installed it. Used it for first time last night and this morning had a knock on my door from maintenence telling me water was leaking from my bedroom into downstairs condo. This is not ok. How can this be filled with water and leaking after using for about 8 hours? spoke to customer service and all she could say was to get a garden hose and drain it. some reviews i read from LG state that condensation evaporates automatically. wont purchase this brand again
