I love love love this versitile Micro and Convection oven. I can do everything from heating to cooking. Unfortunately, it is broken...estimate to fix is over $650 and we have only had it less than 4 years.

We bought an HMC87152 Speed Oven in Nov 2016. In 2019, one of three switches on the door failed rendering the oven useless. Cost $220 to replace. Now (Mar 2022), all three switches have failed and need to be replaced to the tune of $370. In addition, the door spring snapped. $400 or so to replace the door. This should not be happening. Bosch should call out more robust switches and do something about the door springs. I see both things have been panned in these reviews. Cannot ever recommend Bosch to anyone.

This incredible speed oven cooks quickly perfectly. The broil feature is the best, cooks quick and browns the tops (if needed) I use my speed oven daily!

Love the versitality of the oven. Bake, broil, and microwave in one oven. The display could be a bit brighter and clock font a bit larger

Totally crap product I would never trust bosch again. I don't know whether it deserves one star also. I failed again and again. I will never buy any Bosch product in future and I will refrain my friends too.

Only looks good and the feature that it can act as an oven + microwave is attractive
Other than that, this is a mere showpiece. Within two years, two major repairs and customer service is horrible max !!! Very basic design flaw - If we open the oven door by mistake while it is running, then oven simply breaks down. It has to be handledvery delicately. And sometime even after being very careful, if it decides to break down , it simply breaks down. And there is no way to know the reason because Bosch customer service takes its own sweet time to repair. Three months waiting time to repair a small issue. Simply not worth buying this product. With money, comes quality, they say. But with Bosch products, with money, comes only trouble.

We brought a Bosch Speed oven trusting the quality in Bosch. But its 2nd time in 3 years that the switch on the door has failed. The failure mode is so common that one of the technician diagnosed this without looking into the failure.
It is a shame that Bosch has let this design go by and even more surprised that there are no class action lawsuits on this failure.
I am spending $300-$350 for a fix every time the switch breaks (which is once a year). Bosch should be ashamed to put such a poor quality product in the market. Please do not buy this product if you don't want to keep spending money, do not buy this.

Bosch provided an awesome solution for me!! I wanted a double oven, however my space only allowed a microwave over a single oven, that is until I found the Bosch Speed oven! This oven is a combination microwave and oven with broiler too! I love it! I get the best of both all in one appliance, so now I get my double oven and still a microwave too! Kudos to Bosch!!

Never had Bosch products before but have been very disappointed with this high end microwave. Paid almost $2000 for it on 08/04/2018 and within 3 years had the fuse burn ($150 service call), door sensor failed ($200), door spring hinge failed ($400) AND last night it lost all power!!! I would have expected this from a $99 microwave from walmart NOT Bosch. Called Bosch to address this no resolution yet. :(

Just had our microwave/convection oven repaired to replace a control board and interlock for $346. This unit is only a couple of years old and for the price shoud have better reliability.

The Speed Oven was great until it died after only two years. In-home service technician determined that it needs more than $500 in parts, which have not been and will not be, available for months. Even then there is no guarantee that other components won't need replacing as well.
Sadly we had not purchased the rather expensive extended warranty. Replaced the oven with a regular microwave oven

We purchased 3 Bosch appliances when we remodeled in Fall of 2018 - the speed oven, electric cooktop, and wall oven. The speed oven first stopped working within the first 2 months (issue was with the electrical panel), and was repaired under warranty. A little over a year later it started malfunctioning again (it will spontaneously turn itself off when cooking). The warranty only covers 12 months so this is now a repair that will be out of pocket. We have paid for a $200 service call already and learned today that the part we need (thermal protector) will cost us $300 (hence $500 total for the repair). This is on top of the $900 part that we need to repair the Bosch electric cooktop, which has ALSO stopped working just shy of 2 years after the original purchase. The appliances are beautiful and work great when they actually work but this is hugely disappointing given the amount of time I spent looking at different options prior to finally selecting Bosch for our cooking appliances.

We purchased this microwave along with the matching wall oven new in 2015 for our new home construction. The cabinets where custom sized to accommodate this microwave. Like everyone the display had issues and slowly dimmed overtime to be non-existent. After some google searching I decided to purchase a new panel ($200 plus) thinking that Bosch would have corrected the display issue…..nope but at least it worked….for a little while that is. We are on our 4th repair for various things. Door switch, melted fuse harness, etc. and now it is broken again. Sadly I purchased a $35 dollar microwave after the first issue that now has a permanent place on the counter due to the unreliableness of this product. We are debating on what to do, shell out more money for repairs or try to find a replacement unit that will hopefully be close to matching the oven unit. The problem with going with another brand is the dimensions of the cut out does not make it easy to find something that will fit.
If anyone know of another brand similar in dimensions and look, please let me know.

THANK YOU for your build-in microwave! I am amazed at the huge upgrade your built-in microwave brings to my kitchen and cooking! It is beautiful, roomy, and the Sensor Reheat button is such a gift! I simply place my leftover dish inside, press Sensor Reheat and know I will have a perfectly reheated dish! The design is sleek and sophisticated.

We bought this model November of 2018. as part of a whole kitchen remodel. In December 2019, 1 month after warranty expired, the display went blank so we had to replace the filter fuse unit ($250). In September 2020 the display goes out again and this time the door switches and filter fuse were replaced ($310). Today, November 2020, the display is blank, AGAIN, and I just rescheduled a 3rd service visit. I am going to start my search for a different brand to replace this piece of crap!
