Staying cool this summer!

I ran the old 15,000 BTU Frigidaire window A/C unit until it simply wore out. The new unit definitely runs quieter and seems to run less than the older did when it was new. I use it to cool the larger half of the house, which includes the kitchen and dining area. This is the biggest Frigidaire unit that I could find that runs on 110vac. Keep that in mind if shopping for a larger unit. I have 2 smaller Frigidaire window units in other parts of the house that also do a great job. Only time will tell the longevity of this model. I am so far quite pleased.

Easy install. The ac slip out so you can mount it securely. Works great. Only had it for a week but with the heat wave (100+) we are living through in the south it has managed very well. It replaced a 12 year 12000 btu Frigidaire that was working but struggling to keep up. It is on an enclosed brick porch 22'x 18', with poorly insulated windows on 3 sides. So we increased the BTU'S. 110vt 15100 btu's has been good to us.

It works. Not bad to install. Only wish I listened to the sales person who wanted us to look at a different brand as he said this one was very noisy. He wasn't kidding. We actually bought another larger unit also and it is unbelievable how loud these units are. You can hear the rumble from the air conditioner when you are on another floor.

Easily overwhelmed by high humidity. One the humidity gets over 80 you have to watch for dripping back into the house and baby the thermostat so the compressor does not stay on too long. Once the humidity gets above 90 the unit becomes very annoying to baby sit. You have to constantly adjust the thermostat or it will POUR water back in the house. Even with with a generous tilt outwards. This is a very poor design.

The air conditioning system works really well. It's no louder than an average air conditioner set on high. It cools off the square footage that it was made for.The only issue I have is the plug was damaged when it arrived. We did not see it until it was unpacked and set up and about to be plugged in. My only option was to return it to the store and reorder. It was very hot during that week and we couldn't get a replacement because it was out of stock. I called about the warranty and they would not do anything because we have to take it back to the store. We are using it as is. My husband was able to 'fix' the plug.

Good A/C but it didn't have the installation with it. Frigidaire made it right though. It's cooling a 14x60 mobile home in direct sunlight. Cools the living room, kitchen, and adjoining bedroom decent. The hall, bathroom, and back bedroom are left warm but this was expected. I ordered mine from Home Depot and the case and radiator was damaged during shipment. Overall happy. I would purchase it again. The folks at Frigidaire made everything right.

Fulfilled the exact need I hoped it would & works better than my central unit! home built in 1999 w/outside/inside combo CHA units that™™d freeze u out in the summer (w/100+ temps out) but still had very reasonable energy bills! Perfect for us. In 2017 the A/C portion went out & was replaced w/the new refrigerant/coolant type unit. The company put a slightly larger unit in w/necessary adjusters to enable it to work properly with a smaller heating unit. said bigger air unit was necessary for it to cool like the old one b/c of new refrigerant laws. All it did was quadruple our energy bills-all year round! Never came close to cooling like older unit & only cooled inside an avg of 10 deg from outside temp. We put 110 units in 2 of 3 bedrooms so we could sleep. We had at least two $1,000 electric bills over summer mos! After finding this larger energy efficient unit last summer, we decided to leave our central air unit off during summer mos & try window units only to see what it with do. With the cost of half a months electric bill we bought the 15,000 BTU unit. It worked better than I expected! Energy bills went back to pre-2017 rates PLUS together with only two 110 units in 2 of our 3brm home, it cools to 62/64 degrees all summer, whether it™™s 80 or 100 outside! even with the eco setting running all night long. This unit paid for itself in energy savings the first month we got it. Thank you for building a larger unit that only uses 115w!
