Now Hiring: Appliance Technicians
We are seeking Full-Time Appliance Technicians for Immediate Hire!

Job Description & Details:

We perform in-home repairs of all major appliances, including luxury brands, to customers who live in Rhode Island, nearby Massachusetts & Connecticut.  This is a permanent full-time position, with benefits including healthcare options, accrued/paid vacation and personal time, paid holidays, employee purchases and a 401K type plan.  Competitive hourly wage (based on experience level), we also offer a monthly bonus plan.  

Candidates must be able to show a current drivers license and clean driving record; must have the ability to lift and move appliances, a basic level of computer skills as well as basic email and internet capabilities.  Enjoy our family business atmosphere: We are closed on Sundays, so a work week consists of five (5) days Monday-Saturday.  Experience is preferred but not necessary.

Appliance Installer

Job Description & Details:

Wickford Appliance is looking to hire full-time appliance installer to our team. This is a permanent full-time position with benefits.

Work includes, but not limited to, the installation of dishwashers, microwaves and other major appliances. Excellent customer interaction at customer homes is required. Dependability is very important.

PREVIOUS INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE IS A MUST.
Mechanical plumbing/aptitude is a plus…as well as some basic electrical knowledge. .... A CURRENT DRIVERS LICENSE AND A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD ARE REQUIRED. Prior to scheduling an interview, a copy of your driving record must be presented.

Delivery Driver

Job Description & Details:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering major appliances to customers in a timely and professional manner as well as performing various warehouse tasks.

Please Note -- a copy of your current driving record MUST be presented to us PRIOR to scheduling an interview. This record can be obtained online on the DMV's website for a small fee. We will not entertain an interview without this information.

Work includes:

  • Delivering appliances as part of a two-person team (sometimes as the driver & sometimes as the helper).
  • Excellent customer interaction at customer homes.
  • Loading / Unloading trucks in the warehouse.
  • Must be able to lift more than 50lbs.
  • Computer skills are also required, as product handling and the receiving processes are online.
  • These are permanent full-time positions.
  • Compensation will be $16/hr. Minimum (will pay for qualified experience) .... plus, bonuses (delivery only).
  • Weekly 38-40 hours. Must be able to work flexible hours, between 7AM and 7PM, 5 days Monday-Saturday... shifts vary from week to week.
  • Benefits include paid vacations, sick time, holidays, employee purchases. Medical coverage is also available.
  • Dependability is very important.

Driving Licenses & Records:

  • Must have current driver's license and a good driving record, a copy of both is required to be provided.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Health Card (Required).
  • We do Drug testing. CDL or other large truck licenses are NOT required.
  • Certification for forklift in warehouse may be a required training you take once hired.
