Wickford Appliance & Lighting Policies
and Conditions
Payment Terms: No COD's Cash,
MasterCard, Visa and Discover cards accepted. Personal or certified
check must be accepted by our accounting department prior to
delivery. 90 days same-as-cash with approved credit.
Delivery Requirements & Conditions:
- Accessibility: The customer must allow for
safe access to the site. All walkways must be clear of any debris,
snow ice, furniture or other hazards. All stairways leading to the
delivery entrance must be in place. In the event that the delivery
cannot be completed due to inaccessibility, a $59.00 re-delivery
fee will be assessed. Re-delivery fee must be paid for in full
before 2 nd delivery is attempted.
- Standard In-Home Delivery: Standard Delivery
refers to first floor residences or business.
- Non-Standard Delivery: (Additional charges may apply)
Deliveries above the first floor, or buildings without
access to an elevator, or difficult deliveries such as
Installation of natural gas dryers, solid metal dryer venting,
natural gas 30" freestanding ranges, refrigerator icemaker
reconnects and water lines, and dishwasher replacement
installations will be performed at an additional expense. Please
contact our Service Department to schedule this install.
- The customer, or an authorized agent over age 18, must
sign for all products. Products will not be left without a
signature.
- Measurements: It is the customer's
responsibility to measure all doorways, halls or stairwells. We
cannot and will not alter any door, trims or moldings to your home
or common areas. In stock merchandise that does not fit into your
home may be returned for a 15% restocking fee. Please be advised
that product dimensions do change every 1-3 years. Please measure
your purchase carefully!
- Redeliveries: should a customer not be home
to accept a scheduled delivery, a $59.00 re-delivery fee will be
accessed. Redelivery fee must be paid in full before 2 nd delivery
is attempted. Please be home!
- Damages to the product or delivery site MUST be noted on your
invoice at the time of delivery. All claims will be settled
fairly. ALL MAJOR APPLIANCE MERCHANDISE MUST BE UNCRATED AND
INSPECTED UPON DELIVERY. ALL APPLIANCE ACCESSORIES AND LIGHTING
WILL BE LEFT CRATED. DAMAGE CLAIMS FOR CRATED PRODUCTS WILL NOT BE
PROCESSED AFTER 5 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF DELIVERY.
Additional Delivery Conditions:
Installations:
• 1. Normal Installation of
electrical appliances to existing fittings (no charge). Installation
refers to washers, electric dryers (non-stackable,
non-frontloading), freestanding ranges, and refrigerators connected
to existing standard services using manufacturer's supplied fittings
(excluding refrigerator water hook-up). We do not install the
anti-tip bracket on freestanding ranges. We will be happy to install
the bracket as a separate service call. Please contact our Service
Department for a schedule of charges or to schedule a service call
to install the anti-tip bracket.
• In the event that additional supplies are
needed to complete your installation, you will be given an estimate
of the cost of supplies and additional labor, if needed. The
additional supplies will be installed upon your approval.
• Installation of natural gas dryers, solid
metal dryer venting, natural gas 30" freestanding ranges,
refrigerator icemaker reconnects and water lines, and dishwasher
replacement installations will be performed at an additional
expense. Please contact our Service Department to schedule this
install.
• The customer is responsible for all hardwired
connections. This includes: gas lines, built in electrical, as well
as icemaker connections. We cannot be deemed responsible for any
PREEXISTING, old or faulty connections.
Removals:
Wickford Appliance Inc. will provide, at an additional
charge, removal of your old unit on a one-for-one basis. In order to
remove your old appliance, the unit must be disconnected
from all plumbing and electrical and completely
drained of water. If disconnection of old unit is not done prior to
delivery, we will disconnect the appliance, providing the house
plumbing fixtures appear to be in good condition and a
liability/damage waiver must be signed before the unit will be
disconnected. Removal of your old will not be performed if it is
laden with grease, oil or pests of any type. Boxes and packing
material will be cut and placed for disposal on customer's premises
at their discretion. We cannot remove products that contain, or have
contained, biohazard material of any type. We cannot be held
responsible for damage caused by removal of old
appliances.
DAMAGES:

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
Non-stocking, special order merchandise is
non-cancelable and non-returnable. Refunds will be issued on all
in-stock items prior to delivery or pickup. Refunds will be issued
by check or by crediting the card on which you paid. Checks are
issued Monday through Friday from 9am - 5pm. Due to bank delays,
checks will be issued 14 days from original purchase.
